Goodbye Omaha!!!
Picture
On August seventh, full of mixed emotions, I headed to the airport at ten in the morning, thus beginning my journey to Kristiansand, Norway.

Grandma took copius amounts of pictures
.....
there were many tears, happy and sad
.....
there were not enough hugs
.....
and then we waved our final goodbyes
.....
as Dylan and I embarked on this adventure.

The trip went without a hitch, even including mini TV's we could use on our overseas flight to check out movies, and we could even access cameras outside of the plane to see below and in front of the aircraft. Dylan and I had a 5 hour layover in Stockholm, Sweden which consisted of coffee, a twenty-three dollar cheeseburger, and some purchasing of duty-free goods!

Then, we boarded our plane that was to land in Oslo (the capital of Norway) and once there, we were board a smaller aircraft that would take us to our final destination of Kristiansand. UNFORTUNATELY, half an hour is not enough time in the Oslo airport. By the time we got our bags to go through customs, we had already missed our flight. Which is a really fun experience, especially overseas and without a cell phone. I highly recommend this if: 1) English is your first language, 2) if you plan on traveling to a country that English is not the first language, and finally 3) if you are carrying two large suitcases. So, now we had another 5 hours in an airport.

After finally turning up in Kristiansand by plane, and then taking buses and getting rides from the student network, we arrived at 8PM (or 1PM in the US) to our respective dorms. Twenty-seven hours of airports, airplanes, and all of the glory that comes along with them.

Hello Kristiansand!!!
